We are already into the second month of the New Year and the start to the art and artisan festivals where PakHye Goods will be selling our many lines of jewelry. Sue and I have been steadily working and creating many of our popular designs and developing new ones and adding twists to old favorites. February is the beginning of our Festival Season this year and we could not be more excited! PakHye Goods will be vending our handcrafted jewelry at 3 different events throughout Oregon this month.
To begin the New Year we will be vending at one of our favorite events; The Portland Night Market beginning Friday February 9th from 4pm to 11pm and again Saturday the 10th from 4pm to 11 pm. If you have not attended one of the quarterly editions of the Portland Night Market; what are you waiting for??? It truly is a great party and one of a kind Market with a diverse and eclectic group of artisan vendors, food creators, and beverage makers. This edition of the Portland Night Market falls right before Valentines Day and shoppers will have an opportunity to purchase a gift for the one they love or bring them to the Market for a date.
Oregon Winterfest in Bend, Oregon begins the following Friday, February 16th at 5pm and runs through Sunday February 18th at 6pm. Oregon Winterfest is an annual event that combines the great outdoors, that are incredibly accessible in Bend, with the creative energy of the local artisans, chefs and purveyors of beer and wine. Winterfest begins in downtown Bend with a Wine Walk on Thursday evening and includes various lengths of races, a snowboard and ski rail-jam, activities for kids, an ice carving competition, the artisan market, and live music throughout the event. This will be Pakhye goods second year in a row sharing our jewelry line with the Bend community and those that attend. Many of the landscapes in Central Oregon and surrounding Bend are inspirations to our designs which are represented in many of our jewelry designs.
To finish the month of February Sue and I will attend the Newport Seafood and Wine Festival which begins Thursday February 22nd through Sunday February 25th. People from all over Oregon and Washington attend this four-day event on the Oregon coast. It is expected as many as 35,000 visitors will attend this year’s festival. The Newport Seafood and Wine Festival combines excellent food created by local chefs from locally sourced seafood and a marketplace full of handcrafted items created by local artists and artisans. We are extremely excited to attend this year’s festival and hope it is the beginning of more to come.
well there you have it; sue and i will be busy this month with some great events and hopefully you can come and see us at one soon. If you're unable to make it to attend one of the upcoming events please stay in touch and check back for an update. Next month the Portland Saturday Market opens for the 2018 season.
We hope you enjoy the remainder of the winter months and can view our new creations. We would love to hear from you about what you think of our various lines of jewelry or your experiences at various art fairs and festivals or how the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest or wherever, inspire you!
